An exclusive gift made Nikolaos Glücksburg to his beloved wife Tatiana shortly after they returned back to London from Greece. After the fabulous wedding on the island of Spetses and a cruise around the Aegean islands, they packed for a long journey to India.
The wedding trip was organized entirely by Nikolaos, keeping it secret from Tatiana to surprise her. Аir tickets and hotels booking, places to visit in India – all to the last detail was organized by the loving Nikolaos who was preparing the trip in parallel with the wedding. But the choice to go to India was not accidental - Nikolaos was sure his wife would be glad.
They both were on a visit to India in 2007 to celebrate the wedding of the actress Elizabeth Hurley to the Indian magnate Arun Nayar. Tatiana was so enthusiastic about the country then that she has asked Nikolaos to promise that someday they will return in India again. And apparently her Prince has not forgotten his promise. They left for New Delhi on September 7 and stayed ten days during which they visited northern India, Mumbai, Nepal and the Himalayas ...
Tatiana and Nikolaos have met in Gstaad in Switzerland in 2003 and were inseparable from that moment on. They live in London but travel constantly. Their engagement was the greatest surprise of all and took place in close family circle. And the big news came not from the resorts in Switzerland but from sunny Greece where the wedding of the star couple welcomed representatives of the royal courts all over Europe.
And while Nikolaos gifted his beloved with a trip, another star couple in Greece also exchanged their wedding gifts. The wedding of the Patitsas caused a sensation some time ago because it was held onboard of the historic museum ship Averof. The famous TV host Marietta Hrusala, who married the shipping magnate Leon Patitsas, surprised him as she has asked the artist Mara Karetsu to paint their family portraits.
Relatives of the couple said that when Marietta knew the artist had arrived in Greece, she found her phone number in no time and called her to commission the portraits, said the High magazine. But according to other sources, the world-famous artist was impressed by the Renaissance beauty of Marietta Hrusala. And because Mara is capable of drawing like the Renaissance artists she decided to paint a big portrait of the beautiful Marietta in the style of Leonardo da Vinci’s La Gioconda - with a mysterious smile on her lips.
Meanwhile, Marietta and Leon Patitsas are building their palace, where they will enjoy their love, on an area of 1000 acres and for the "modest" amount of over €10 million. Their house will have views to the Imitos Mount in the north and to the sea in the south, it will have 24-hour security, the entrance will be made of Sicilian marble and creeping plants will adorn the three-meter fence. The love nest of the Patitsas is planned to have 16 rooms, hall for parties and any other extras.
