Lifeless was last night’s trade union rally in central Athens organized against the reform of the social security system. The demonstration, organized by the two largest Greek civil servants' unions ADEDY and the Confederation of Greek workers started from the square in front of the old parliament building and ended on Syntagma Square outside the current parliament building.

Trade union members chanted "This is IMF's sty”, "This building does not belong to us", "Euro came to make us poorer”, "Down the dictate of international markets”. Their sharp comments did not have many supporters.
