With a fragmented political landscape and party headquarters which are frantically trying to attract bright and spotless candidates in their lists, known singers, entertainers, executives, models and many more... are getting ready to jump into the battle of the local elections.

Some of these have shown that they have had... a guiding star in their professional career. It remains to be seen whether it will accompany them during their political career.

Every day, various names are added to the potential participants in local elections, such as Ilias Psinakis, Noni Dounia, Stelios Dionisiou and Isavella Dara.

The Marathon Man

One of the celebrities who will try their luck at the elections is famous manager Ilias Psinakis.

Psinakis has recently announced his candidacy for Mayor of the Marathon region and aims to contribute to the development of the area. According to him, the assumption of mayoralty is a challenge.

He said that residents of Marathon, where he has been living in the last 18 years, call him "The Marathon Man" and he has invited them to participate in his vision for the municipality.

"We can change today’s image with a practical and innovative spirit of transparent governance and fantasy, with my knowledge and experience and the knowledge and experience of my staff, but mainly with the participation of our citizens, as well as with an optimistic plan which will unite all the inhabitants of the area and our allies in Greece and abroad. The mayor has received yet another call from former model Noni Dounia who has also announced that she was ready for the "Battle of Piraeus."
