After introducing you to the ten richest men in Britain, who have Greek origins, it is time to look at the London real estate of local millionaires. London has always been an attraction center for the wealthy from all around the world. The dynamic real estate market in the metropolis offers many opportunities for investments, profits, but also image. Life & Style magazine, presented some of the most beautiful houses in the old capital, owned by Greek millionaires.

We cannot not begin by presenting the heiress of the rich Greek family Vardinogianni, who has interests in various sectors of the economy - from trade of fuels to football. Besides their business achievements, the Vardinogianni family is known also for Mariana Vardinogianni, who is a goodwill ambassador to UNESCO and in October 2010 donated Greece's largest hospital for treatment of children with cancer.

Christina Vardinogianni and her husband George Goulandris are proud owners of a large property in London's elegant Mayfair district, which occupies almost a whole block. George Goulandris is the successor of an old shipbuilding family, and Christina is the daughter of Mariana Vardinogianni. Like her mother, but not on such scale as her mother, Christina also deals with charity. When not helping, however, the less fortunate Christina is known for attending the five-star spa-gym KX in Chelsea and sometimes eats dietary in Harry's Bar, where if you feel like it, you can order champagne £25 pounds as well as for £325.

Neighbor of Vardinogianni is another millionaire, Adamavtios Polemis who lives nearby the street of Christina and George in the Mayfair area. Insiders say that Polemis is one of the rich Greek families, who over the years have managed to stay out of the camera lens and away from publicity.

However, this cannot be said for the popular Greek Latsis family. Its members are a favorite topics of discussion for Greek and international media and in recent years publicity is given primarily to Paris Latsis, a grandson of Yiannis Latsis, who except for his wealth, earned some fame as being a boyfriend to Paris Hilton for some time. After their separation, his name was associated with a variety of Hollywood celebrities and two years ago the 32-year-old Paris became a film producer of “Swing Vote” with Kevin Costner.

But let us return to the topic of real estate. The grandfather Yiannis Latsis, also known as Captain Yannis, has bought the right to use the famous London architectural masterpiece Bridgewater House for 100 years. Besides the legendary house Latsis owns other properties, in the apparently popular among Greek millionaires, Mayfair.

Cruise tycoon Yannis Handris, who is a London resident, of course has a wonderful property on Eaton Square. According to an assessment of the British press, Handris’ wealth is about £600 million and his family owns 50% of the leader in the real estate market “London & Cambridge Properties”. Yannis Handris is married to Tina Koumandourou and together with his brother Michalis manages the cruise business. The companies owned by them are Cunard, P&O and Union Castle.

On the same square, but on the adjacent number is the beautiful house of another Greek shipping millionaire Antonis Empirikos. He is renowned for his skill in maritime affairs and Polo Sport. Insiders say that the house on Eaton Square is his permanent residence.

The owner of the shipping company Top Ships, Evangelos Pistolis has both an office and a house in the good old London. Moreover, like his father, who owns a large construction company in Greece “Athens ATE”, Evangelos has his own construction company in London and reaps great success on the real estate market. His is the building next to the chic five-star deluxe hotel Slaridge's, which welcomes stars like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Nicole Kidman and many other rich and famous during their London visits.
