The latest poll by the University of Macedonia shows 18% precedence of SYRIZA over New Democracy. The poll was conducted in the period 3-6 June on behalf of SKAI TV.
According to the poll results, the parties have received the following percentages:
SYRIZA 34.5%
New Democracy 16.5%
Golden Dawn 5.5%
Potami 5.5%
Greek Communist Party 5%
Independent Greeks 3%
PASOK 3.5%
Other 7%
Do not know 19.5%
SYRIZA reports a decrease by 2 percentage points compared to the previous poll carried out by the same university.
The Greek Communist Party registers a 1% increase and the rest of the parties have slight variations of approximately half a percentage point.
55.5% of respondents state that the best solution for the centre right wing would be to create a new party in the place of New Democracy, 20.5% believe that the right wing should join New Democracy and 24% respond, "Do not know".
38% of voters of New Democracy believe that the best solution for the centre right would be to create a new party to replace New Democracy, 48% believe that the right wing should join New Democracy and 14% answer "Do not know."
Simultaneously, 39% of respondents say that the best solution for the left wing would be for all parties to unite in one, 30% think that the parties must be dissolved and join SYRIZA or New Democracy, 20% "Do not know"; 4.5% believe that the forces should join PASOK and 6.5% the Potami party.
A possible GREXIT causes fear in 51.5% of respondents whereas 16% expect such a development of events.
28% do not believe that Greece's exit from the euro zone "would make any difference" for the Greek economy and 4.5% totally exclude this possibility.
