The young man with a shaven head, who during the press conference of Golden Dawn ordered journalists and reporters to stand to attention out of regard for the leader Nikolaos Mihaloliakos, is about to take his seat in parliament. He is the third in a row from the candidates elected with the party's ballot in the second constituency in Athens. The other two are the leader of the recent organization which is now a party, and his wife.
The most interesting fact is that according to postings on the Internet, the particular member of Golden Dawn is the bassist of a hardcore black metal band. It is called "Naer Mataron" and its members are from Norway and Greece.
The issue about the personality of Germenis was raised before the elections by the extremely conservative newspaper "Eleftheri ora" (Free hour) which supports Christianity. The publication of 2 May is entitled "Mihaloliakos threatens Eleftheri ora."
Its author, who fears that a Satanist is about to enter parliament, asks, "Isn’t the man whose real name is George Germenis, a candidate in the second constituency in Athens and a member of the central committee of Golden Dawn, "Kaiadas"? A "yes" or "no" would be enough for the people to know for whom exactly the voters voted. And if "Kaiadas" who wears a pentagram on his chest is a candidate, why is he not immediately removed? What are they waiting for?"
lifo.gr indicates that Germenis was appointed to the central committee of Golden Dawn by the personal decision of the leader Nikolaos Mihaloliakos at the 7th congress of the organization. After it, his candidacy for parliament was proposed and he was elected with 5,160 votes.
In ancient times, the name Kaiadas was given to a great abyss in the foothills of Taygetus Mountain near ancient Sparta. Its location remains unknown to this day. Some say it coincides with the "Apotetes" area (from apoteto - put aside), where the then inhabitants of Sparta threw infirm and sick babies in order to ensure eugenics (improving the population under the laws of heredity).
At the same time, it became clear that the 21 deputies from the party elected by the electorate might not take their seats. According to sources, the party leader Mihaloliakos is preparing to ask them to give up and for he himself to determine who will be the members of the parliamentary group. Experts on constitutional law say this is possible, if the elected deputies give up their seats.
Another interesting fact is that Golden Dawn deputies will receive only part of the deputies' salary equal to the salary of a colonel. The remaining amount will go to benefit the organization.
As for the incident with Kaiadas´ call to journalists to stand to attention in front of the Golden Dawn leader, party spokesman Ilias Kasidiaris said, "Stand to attention!" is a military command. It is high time that people, especially journalists, should learn to behave in an orderly fashion."
He said that the election results were falsified. "The percentage of Golden Dawn was much higher. It will become clear in the coming days what exactly happened," he told Alpha TV.
