Natasa Theodoridou is firmly convinced that the crisis could not take the Greek away from his favorite music. In an interview for the magazine Down Town the singer known for her love for the rather folk type of music and her realistic outlook on life said: "I did not believe this and I will never believe it. The Greek is so connected with his song, so "involved" in its sound that it is difficult to have a good time without it. Regardless of what type of music he prefers. Whichever type he prefers, eventually all roads lead to the folk song that reaches his heart and drives him up on his feet. But the way to have fun really changed. Restaurants are very expensive indeed. The truth is that things had crossed all limits and now the crisis helps to return to things to their normal position."

Theodoridou whom we can see this season in Anodos together with Kostas Martakis and the volcanic Eleni Foureira argues that the reason why artists are "under fire" of the tax services lies in the fact that they are famous. She claims that the singers in Greece is not evade taxes, and if there are some who are doing it, they are very few. "There have been so many wrong things, conducted by the people, that artists are like a drop in the ocean". The reason for all the fuss is that the singers appear before the public. "Famous people always stimulate the feelings of the people" - said Theodoridou.

As for herself, she stated that the crisis had not affected her too much, as she has never led a lavish life, in order now to have to live more modestly. "I am a mother and I am bringing up children. I raise them mainly on my own. I've never had a "backup", heritage or rich parents. I know that work is the only source of income for me. I have no passion or weakness for extreme things, I lead a normal life like everyone else. When the situation becomes difficult, and "tightening" and I pull myself together."

In a time when most musicians are forced to experiment with new styles on the stage, Natasha Theodoridou stays true to herself. "I am from those people who believe that persistence is a positive quality for the performer. When you start with a certain style that appeals to people and they walk together with you, there is no reason to change it. The search for something new does not always bring you on the right track.... On the other hand I can perform on the stage some song that the audience does not expect to hear from me as a surprise. The stage allows such things. But overall, I like to be based on my style."

This year, the singer is facing the challenge to sing along with two young talents. Her poise and the common sense in her way of thinking help her see this as a new adventure, from which even a singer of her magnitude can learn something. "Each one of the three has his own way, his own dreams, his own searches... It's nice to work with young people and not people with issues"- she said.

As for her two daughters, however, she does not hide her joy that "fortunately" none of them would like to become a singer. They have already chosen their path. The older one dreams of becoming a lawyer, and the younger a doctor. "I have explained to them that this road (of the singer) does not lead anywhere, unless you are a very great talent. And again you will live in the shadow of the man who managed to pass the path before you..." - reveals Theodoridou.Read phonetically
