New Democracy would win the European elections and SYRIZA – the parliamentary ones

New polls for the European elections and the likely parliamentary elections registered two different sides of the "battle" of parties.

According to the study of Rass, carried out for Parapolitika newspaper, New Democracy has a minimum lead of 0.2% over SYRIZA in the vote, “To Potami” movement ranks third, and 46.6% of voters said they would vote for the movement as a protest against the political system.

According to the study of Public Issue, carried out for the "Efimerida ton Sintakton" newspaper, SYRIZA has a 1.5% lead over New Democracy for the parliamentary elections and Golden Dawn ranks third.

According to the study of Rass, carried out for Parapolitika newspaper, SYRIZA has a 0.2% lead in the vote. New Democracy leads with 21.4%, followed by SYRIZA with 21.2%, and “To Potami” movement ranks third with a large gap - 10.3%.

They are followed by Golden Dawn (6.1%), the Communist Party (5.2%), Elia (4%), the Independent Greeks party (3.1%) and Democratic Left (2%), and there is a significant percentage of indefinite vote (20.1%).

When asked who will win the elections, 50% of respondents believe that SYRIZA will win the European elections, while 40.3% believe that New Democracy will be the winner.

When asked which party can protect Greek interests in Europe, 24.8% of respondents answered New Democracy, and 20.5% - SYRIZA. When the question was repeated, this time for the leaders of the two parties, 46.3% believe that Antonis Samaras can protect Greek interests better, while 29.5% answered Alexis Tsipras. 21.4% answered that neither of them could do it. 42.2% believe that things in the country will be worse with the government of SYRIZA, while 29.5% believe that the situation will be better.

As for “To Potami,” 46.6% answered that they would vote for the movement as a protest against the political system, 34.7% - because they agreed with the ideas of the party, and 15.9%, because they trusted the leader.

As for Golden Dawn, 60.1% of those polled believe that the party is a criminal organization, and 24.2% - that it is a victim of political persecution.

Finally, 54.4% of respondents are against early elections, while 42.6% support them.

The study of Public Issue

According to the study of Public Issue carried out for the "Efimerida ton Sintakton" newspaper, SYRIZA will gather 29% for the parliamentary elections against 27.5% for New Democracy. Golden Dawn will rank third with 10%, followed by the Communist Party (7%), as well as “To Potami” (7%), PASOK (6%,), Independent Greeks (4%) and Democratic Left (3.5%). The remaining parties will collect 6%.

When asked if the elections were tomorrow who would win them regardless of the party preference of those polled, 48% said that it would be SYRIZA, while 39% - New Democracy. 14% of the representative sample responded "nobody" or did not express an opinion.

Regarding the question of who is more suitable for Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras leads with 44%, followed by Alexis Tsipras at 26%. 28% of respondents believe that neither of them is suitable.
