Four foreigners serving time in Koridalos prison made an attempt to escape but got caught by the guards. The four managed to break out of their cells and pass by the guards on the first floor, but then a yard-guard noticed the fugitives and with the help of his colleagues he managed to stop them. As the investigation shows, they cut the window-gratings and climbed down on ropes made by their sheets. One of them, however, tangled his foot in the sheet and didn't manage to jump on the ground on time. While trying to set his foot free he accidentally fell on the ground and sprained his ankle, which was enough for the guards to catch them.

The injured fugitive was first taken to Koridalos healing center and later to Dzanio hospital. There is an investigation currently taking place on the case and the local prosecutor was also informed. The guarding system of Koridalos has been extremely tighten up during the last months after the famous criminal Vasilis Paleokostas and his accomplice Rezai, Albanian, managed to escape it twice in the same way- with a rented helicopter- making fools of the prison guards.
