Greeks were happy to have a mild and warm fall but during this weekend winter will finally come. From the Greek National Meteorological station they warn us for a sudden change in the weather for worse in the next few hours with strong winds, drop in the temperatures, and even snow. In an emergency bulletin, the Greek civil security service announces the expectance of dangerous environmental phenomenon. In more detail, storm Southwest winds are expected with strength of 9 on the Beaufort scale in most parts in the country and in the East they will reach 10.
Lightening storms are expected in West and Northeast Greece. Temperatures all across the country are falling suddenly. In Epir, Greek Macedonia and Thrace, as well as in the mountains it will snow. On Sunday, the storm will pass but the low temperatures will remain. No considerable rains are expected for Athens. The Greek civil security services are ready to interfere if problems occur anywhere in the country due to the bad weather.
