Greek police is selective when it comes to the anarchists, claims “Ta Nea” newspapers’ photo report. A reporter has documented friendly hugs between the police and anarchists, dressed in black with hoods on “Kolokotroni” street. On one of the pictures it is clearly shown how one anarchist carries a white bat. At the same time, the newspaper shows other photos where policemen are dealing brutally with other anarchists. The publication asks a logical question, what are the criteria of the Greek police in deciding, which anarchists to hug and which not beat.
Tonight the riots continued in Athens and Thessaloniki. Citizens started to protect themselves from the vandalistic attacks. TV cameras show people who are taking police shields in order to be able to get close to the anarchists and take their bats, stones and whatever else they are holding. During the whole day on Thursday 20 police stations were occupied by protesting students and 7 of them were significantly damaged.
Today at 12:00 pm another protest procession will take place in the Athens center. Another one is set for Monday at the same hour and on Thursday, the 18th of December there will be a Greek education protest. As grreporter.info already told you, the Ministry of Education announced that 120 schools are occupied, 60 of which are outside the capitol. According to the teacher trade union, the occupied schools are more than 400.
