Give away experiences not objects

The trend, which got over America finally came to Greece this year. Enough of the useless things – clothes, souvenirs, books, calendars, and everything else that we receive as Christmas and New Years gifts. It is much more chic to give an experience not a gift. Not only that it is cheaper and more effective, this opportunity is more practical for countries like Bulgaria and Greece where they have not only Santa Clause but also Saint Vasili – they give two gifts not only one.

Since the beginning of December, two new Greek websites help the gift givers chose the experience, which will satisfy the tastes of the one intended. www.baladeur.gr and www.days4u.gr not only quickly won users but became number one during the holidays. They tell you what the market offers for women, men, families, and children. They help you find a gift for a specific amount according to your financial situation by starting from 10 Euros and getting to 1210 Euros. They also help you find a gift according to what the interests are of the one who it is intended for – sports, extreme activities, cultural life, competitions, small airplane flights, parachute jumping, massages, manicure, hair dressers and whatever else you can think of.

This year the gifts trend is horse riding lessons, which are organized together with the Greek Horse Riding Federation. Half day of horseback riding around the Parnita Mountain in Athens in 45 Euros. If you want to join the ride (to be the two of you) it will cost 80 Euros. Very popular are also the flights. Balloon ride over Athens casts 135 Euros. The wealthier ones can rent a Chesna and even land it on their own – it will cost 1200 Euros but it will be an unforgettable experience for all the brave ones who got into the Chesna. If you like games and competitions you can chose a paintball game, it costs only 50 Euros and you will have a lot of fun!

Of course all kinds of massages, manicures, pedicures, hairdresser and make-up artists consultations are also searched for. Following are the wine tasting in a winery around Athens, visit in the Pavlidis chocolate factory with chocolate tasting and a meeting with the famous chef.

The owners of the websites are encouraged by their Christmas and New Year success and they will widen their business to wedding, birthday and anniversary gifts.
