A landslide victory for SYRIZA, with a more than 7% lead over the second parliamentary party, New Democracy, the lowest turnout since the fall of the junta so far, a firmer grip of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn, which has cemented itself as the third political force and many questions around the professional competence and independence of polling agencies.
These are the most important results from yesterday's parliamentary elections in Greece.

After SYRIZA as the big winner, the party with the highest gain turns out to be Golden Dawn, which increased its support by 0.5% compared to the elections of 25 January 2015. Twice as many voted for the neo-Nazis from the islands of Lesbos and Kos, which were the hardest hit by the refugee influx.
280,000 less voted for New Democracy compared to the electiond of 25 January 2015; Potami led by journalist Stavros Theodorakis has sustained heavy losses as well: their 17 seats in the previous parliament have shrunk to just 11 in this one.
