The Greek police found a terrorist hideaway in the northern suburb Halandri. Found in the apartment was a handmade explosive, identical to the one, which exploded yesterday in the home of PASOK parliament member candidate Louka Katzeli and in the house of former PASOK minister of defense Gerasimos Arsenis. The explosive was placed in a stew pan and was connected to a clock mechanism and an igniting device. In the apartment the police also found another explosive substance, more stew pans – obviously intended for making more handmade bombs, and a list with names of future terrorist attack subjects.

The police believe that these types of materials are used by the organizations “Conspiracy of the fiery nuclei” and “Ambush”. Right now experts are transferring everything found in the apartment in special laboratories for a more detailed analysis. Arrested are five people – four men and one woman - and all are between the ages of 20 and 22. All of them are well known to the police and one of them has a criminal record. The arrested are part of an anarchist group, which has been followed by the police for months and the house in Halandri was being monitored 24 hours per day during the last month.

Experts from the anti-terrorist services believe that the five arrested are guilty for the attacks at Katzeli and Arsenis’ houses. The owner of the hideaway is a famous anarchist, with a very talented signature, who during the last few months has been very active. He participated also in the attack against a police forces bus. The organization “Conspiracy of the fiery nuclei” appeared for the first time in 2008 and is the author of over 30 attacks.

The chief department of the Greek police announced that during a press conference at noon it will share details about the performed police action.
