Police nabbed the Albanian who wounded fifteen in a bar

The Greek police apprehended the 31-year-old Albanian Arber Bako, the suspected perpetrator who in the early morning on Saturday went on a shooting spree with a Kalashnikov in a Piraeus nightclub and wounded 15 people. The criminal was caught in the apartment of an accomplice, also an Albanian, in the Athens quarter of Goudi after a massive police operation, which lasted several days.

The police said the Albanian had been localised through his mobile phone, and the area was cordoned off by a large police force. The suspect had been hunted for weeks on end prior to the Saturday carnage in a bar in the Mikrolimano area of Piraeus. He is suspected of having carried out two other assaults, with a man murdered in one of them.

The Albanian did not react at the time of arrest: apparently the police took him by surprise. The special forces were prepared to use flash grenades and tear gas. The suspect was taken to the Greek police Chief directorate straightaway.

Expect more details.
