When a problem evolves into a crisis and the crisis remains a permanent state of being, it is logical to ask whose fault it is. In our latest poll, we asked you "Who is to blame for Greek drama?" This time too the results on our three language pages are interesting and indicative of our readers’ attitudes.
The voting on the Bulgarian page of GRReporter is quite scattered and close in terms of rates. 35% of our readers blame the parties that have created the clientelist state. 28% shift the responsibility onto a single party, namely the currently ruling SYRIZA the government of which has proved to be incompetent. One-fourth of respondents (25%) believe there is no drama in Greece because Greeks still live well. Such voting is expected as Bulgaria is the poorest country in the European Union and has the lowest standard of living, and many Bulgarians show undisguised distrust in the comparisons of the macroeconomic indicators of both countries, according to which Bulgaria is significantly more stable. Ordinary citizens measure stability according to their income and subjective perception of quality of life, which prompts them that there is a crisis where incomes are the lowest. Only 11% of respondents blame Greece's creditors.
The situation on the English language page is different. About 34% of our readers state the drama in our southern neighbour is to blame entirely on SYRIZA. 29% widen the circle of parties, believing that the entire political elite is responsible for the current situation of the Greek state. 27% blame it on the creditors of Greece and only 11% believe that there is no crisis and Greeks continue to live well.
The voting on the Greek page of GRReporter is very different from that on the other two language pages. Here we see the clear opinion that the parties that have created the clientelist state are to blame, which is the preference of 58% of readers. 21% blame the creditors who have brought Greece, by their actions, to the unenviable situation in which it finds itself today. Unlike the other two versions, only 16% blame SYRIZA and its incompetent government. Only 5% are of the opinion that Greeks continue to live well despite the condition of the state.
There is no way but to associate the subject of our next poll with the Greek crisis by asking, "Where is the place of Greece according to you?". Do not forget to give the grounds your vote in the section for comments below the poll.
