Thousands of people flocked to central Athens to demonstrate and oppose the signing of any agreement with creditors. The demonstration began at 7:30 pm.
To the sound of music by Mikis Theodorakis, thousands of Greeks have raised slogans with only one particle, "NO", to the agreement with creditors, no to the policy of austerity, no to staying in the euro zone.
In the central Syntagma Square there are people of all ages, all of them supporters of SYRIZA and Independent Greeks - the two parties that are currently in power in Greece. Many of them have come from the countryside by specially organized buses.
The poster reads, "We vote NO to the agreement with creditors." On Sunday, 5 July, Greeks will have a national referendum to vote on whether they want an agreement with creditors and to stay in the euro zone or the contrary, namely if they do not want an agreement and prefer to return to the drachma.
