"Yes" to the agreement is the response of 47.2% of Greeks, 33% say "No" to it and 18.4% are still undecided. These are the respondents’ preferences in the poll carried out by Kappa Research that the newspaper To Vima published in its Sunday issue. The poll was conducted in the period 24-26 June, before the government announced its decision to hold a referendum.
67.8% of citizens want Greece to stay in the euro zone compared to 25.2% who do not want it to. 66% want an arrangement with creditors compared to 26.5% who are opposed to it whereas 50.6% of SYRIZA’s supporters want an agreement and 39.1% want a rupture.
Citizens declare their support for the agreement, as shown by the poll of Alco too, which was published in the Sunday edition of the newspaper Proto Thema.
In particular, 57% of respondents say "Yes" to the agreement and 29% are opposed to it.
The poll that was conducted among a sample of 1,000 respondents in the period 24-26 June actually does not reflect the initial reaction of the public to the government's decision to hold a referendum asking "yes or no to the agreement proposed by creditors."
