The Greek prosecutor investigating the cases of corruption has submitted to parliament a request to withdraw the immunity of the first vice president from SYRIZA Alexis Mitropoulos.
It is connected with the investigation of an amount of $1 million paid to Mitropoulos as a labour law expert without him issuing an invoice.
The money was received 16 years ago but the case became known only in 2013 when two former associates of Mitropoulos filed a lawsuit against him with the accusation that they had not been paid their share of fees.
