An earthquake of 4.6 degrees on the Richter scale rocked the Achaia region in the Peloponnese shortly after midnight. The quake was felt in other areas such as Corinthia and Arcadia, as its focus was at a great depth. According to the Institute of Geodynamics at the Athens Observatory, the epicenter was 11 km south-southwest of Egio.
According to the fire service, there is no evidence of material damage.
