Greeks rate the achievements of Alexis Tsipras’ government as satisfactory, giving it 3.8 out of 10 possible points as shown by a poll that the University of Macedonia carried out in the period 28-30 April 2015.
The cabinet of SYRIZA and Independent Greeks have dealt with combating unemployment in the best possible way, for which respondents award the maximum 10 points to it. The government seems to have not coped well with price reduction, because the relevant rating is 3.3, and to have failed as far as business climate and entrepreneurship are concerned because its rating is just 2.8, in terms of social security, the rating of Tsipras’ team is slightly better, namely 4.
34% of respondents admit that their financial situation has worsened since the announcement of the elections in December 2014 until the end of April 2015 and 33% fear that their economic situation will worsen further over the next 12 months. Compared to the family finances a year ago, 52% of Greeks recognize that they have slender purses today.
Asked "If you had the opportunity of buying a home, when do you think it would be best time to do so?", 37% of respondents reply "never". The poll reports still significant credibility in Greek banks. Asked "If you had 10,000 euro, what would you do with it?" 46.5% reply that they would put the sum into a Greek bank and only 14% would prefer to transfer it to a bank abroad.
