Six robbers stole jewelry with total price of 1,5 million euro

Police investigates six unknown men, who robbed a jewelry store in the southern suburb of Athens Glifada.

Around lunch time today five of them with masks and hoods on their heads entered the store and threatened with guns clients and employees. After this they stole watches and gold jewelry at the price of over one million and a half euro. Then they got on bikes and ran away. Shortly after they changed the motorbikes with a minivan.

Until now the police held the driver of a car Volkswagen Golf with Bulgarian registration, who is considered a suspect in the robbery. The police continue the investigation, the driver of the Golf is held for interrogation in the “Security” service and the three motorbikes are also in the hands of the police officers.

According to unconfirmed information it is about a group of foreigners trying to rob jewelry.

A victim of the robbers became a woman who lives in Melisia neighborhood. They busted in the apartment and stole the jewelry with the price of 50 000 euro.
