Little more than a month before the internal New Democracy elections, two polls show the percentages, which the four candidates could muster.

Metron Analysis

Commissioned by the Parapolitika daily, the Metron Analysis poll shows Evangelos Meimarakis doing very well among the New Democracy crowd. However, Apostolos Dzidzikostas strikes ahead of the pack if the preferences of all citizens – including those who are not party voters – are taken into account. Here are the runners' percentages:

Among New Democracy voters:

  • Evangelos Meimarakis 48%
  • Apostolos Dzidzikostas 21%
  • Kyriakos Mitsotakis 18%
  • Adonis Georgiadis 8%

Among the general public:

  • Apostolos Dzidzikostas 31%
  • Evangelos Meimarakis 28%
  • Kyriakos Mitsotakis 14%
  • Adonis Georgiadis 6%

ΜRB

The MRB survey, commissioned by Real News, also gives Meimarakis the lead.

According to its results, New Democracy voter preferences are allocated this way:

  • Evangelos Meimarakis 47.5%
  • Apostolos Dzidzikostas 19.9%
  • Kyriakos Mitsotakis 16.4%
  • Adonis Georgiadis 10.1%

The poll among those who have voted for New Democracy at least once in the past also puts Meimarakis ahead:

  • Evangelos Meimarakis 37.2%
  • Apostolos Dzidzikostas 27.9%
  • Kyriakos Mitsotakis 14.4%
  • Adonis Georgiadis 6.4%
