Leader of Independent Greeks Panos Kamenos has announced in statements after his meeting with radical left leader Alexis Tsipras that his party will participate in a government coalition with SYRIZA.
"From this moment on the country has a government. Independent Greeks pass a vote of confidence in Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras," said Kamenos.
According to him, Tsipras will meet with President of Greece Karolos Papoulias later today to announce the formation of the new government, which will include Independent Greeks.
According to a communication disseminated by the press office of the presidency, Papoulias will receive Tsipras at 3:30 pm. Two hours earlier, at 1:30 pm outgoing parliament speaker Evangelos Meimarakis will report to the President the outcome of yesterday's vote.
