According to the results of the single exit poll organised by all Greek polling agencies, SYRIZA has won the early parliamentary elections in Greece with a percentage rate of between 35.5-39.5%.
New Democracy that was in power until today has ranked second with the expected 23-27%.
The neo-Nazi Golden Dawn and the Potami party of journalist Stavros Theodorakis that was established a year ago are fighting for the third position, with a percentage rate of 6.4% and 8%.
Next in the ranking are the Communist Party of Greece with a rate of 4.7-5.7%, PASOK with 4.2-5.2% and the Independent Greeks party with a rate of 3.5-4.5%.
It is not excluded that the newly formed party of former Prime Minister George Papandreou enters the Greek Parliament as it will receive between 2.2% and 3.2% of the vote.
For the first time so many parties are about to enter the Greek Parliament.
The electoral law of Greece provides a bonus of 50 seats for the party that has won the largest number of votes, which is significantly increasing the chances of Greece having an absolute majority and forming a separate office, without the help of coalition partners.
The exit polls indicate the following allocation of seats:
SYRIZA - 146-153 MPs
New Democracy - 65-75 MPs
Potami and Golden Dawn - 17-22 MPs each
Communist Party of Greece - 13-16 MPs
PASOK - 12-15 MPs
Independent Greeks - 10-13 MPs
George Papandreou’s movement - 0-8 MPs.
