Terrifying scene of three dead bodies immersed in blood saw the passersby on the coastal boulevard in the resort Eretria, Evia Island. The incident happened after 13:00 when a group of four people, one of them lawyer, arrived from Athens to Eretria to resolve outstanding financial issues with a local businessman. Three of them entered the restaurant by the sea on Arheu Teatru Boulevard where was the appointment. The fourth stepped aside то make a phone call. At this moment the businessman picked up his gun and shot the men who stood before him. All three died on the spot.

According to the online edition zougla.gr the goal of the meeting was the people to discuss the possible confiscation of the car wash company owned by the offender. One week before the crime a bailiff visited the 54-year-old businessman Panagiotis Simotis to inform him of the  confiscation. His answer was: “If they come I will kill them,” and he did so.

The victims are A.K. resident of Koropi, P.G. resident of Menidi and the lawyer, for whom there is information that is the nephew of a criminal record. There were no other customers in the restaurant where the crime was made. According to the owner it all happened so fast that nobody could respond.

Тhe businessman escaped immediately after the crime and a little later, after a telephone conversation with the police, gave himself up in his house in Chalkis.
