A Greek family in Cappadocia, before their displacement
"It's difficult for us, the second generation, to keep the memory. Its essence, the original character is already gone. But the epicenter in every refugee's story remains the same. To be born in one place and to get old in another. And to feel stranger in both places", says Ayse Lahur Kardunsh whose family was forced to move to Turkey from Crete.
The exhibition presents the personal testimonies of people who have survived the forced movement and exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey, Germany andPoland, India and Pakistan and Cyprus.
