Two Bulgarians killed in a severe car crash in Corfu

Two Bulgarians were killed and a third is in serious condition at the regional hospital in Corfu after a head-on collision between their vehicle and a Greek tourist bus. Ionian Islands traffic police reported that the accident happened at 6.30 in the morning on the road Corfu - Paleokastritsa. A car with Bulgarian license plates, carrying four people, two men and two women entered the oncoming traffic and crashed into a bus with tourists. 

Killed on the spot was 34-year-old driver of the car and his 27-year-old companion, who sat on the front seat.Seriously wounded in the spine is the man who sat in the backseat of the car. From the impact he lost his left eye. Doctors consider the surgery as a success, but the next days will be critical for his life. The man communicates in Greek. 

The regional hospital in Corfu announced that all four passengers in the Bulgarian car have consumer big quantity of alcohol. The fourth passenger refused any medical attention. The bus driver has minor injuries. The causes of the crash are being investigated by traffic police in Corfu.
