Bad weather in Greece claimed two victims. A girl, aged 24, died in Serres after her car fell into an irrigation canal. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday night and the reason was that the young driver had lost control of the vehicle and it had fallen into the canal. A farmer, aged 77, from Kilkis, who was reported missing, was found dead after a long search.
The rains in Greece have intensified after Sunday night, turning into torrents accompanied by thunderstorms in places. The national weather service warns that the bad weather will continue on Monday, a slight improvement being expected in the night.

The temperature in the country will fall and it will snow in areas with altitudes of over 1,200 metres.
