Eight months after Bulgarian woman Pavlina Angelova, aged 34, was found dead at her home in Thessaloniki, the Greek police announce that they have detected her killer. He is a Ukrainian citizen, aged 28, who is currently being sought by the authorities and is charged with murder and illegal possession of a weapon. According to the official police announcement the perpetrator himself had confessed to a friend of his, aged 48, that he had killed the woman. The 48-year-old Ukrainian is also wanted by the police on charges of concealing a crime.
As GRReporter informed, Pavlina Angelova was found dead at her home on the central Thessaloniki Prometheus Street by her husband and his friend in the late afternoon of 10 January. The woman had been stabbed in the neck and body and according to the online edition voria.gr sex toys were found around her.
Many Greek media claim even today that the woman worked as a prostitute and used her flat as a place for meetings, and the killer was her client. A few days after the murder Pavlina Angelova’s mother explained to bTV that her daughter had worked in a cafe in Thessaloniki. She had recently visited her parents and child in Mezdra and was in good spirits. The two women talked on the phone for the last time the day before the murder.
