The positive vote in the referendum on Sunday prevails in a poll conducted by GPO and presented by BNP Paribas. The poll was carried out on Tuesday among 1,000 respondents selected on the basis of residence, age and sex.

According to the results, 47.1% of respondents are confident that they will prefer the positive vote or consider it most likely to do so. Conversely, the probable or certain supporters of the negative vote are 43.2%.

The statistical error is approximately 3.1%, which means that the result is considered statistically significant, as indicated by BNP Paribas.

Interestingly, the particular data indicate that the positive vote is the preferred choice of elder voters of New Democracy whereas the majority of SYRIZA’s supporters (63.4%) prefer the "No" option.
