He doesn’t want to write songs for anyone now. He would not participate in the next X-Factor. He says he is tired of everything and is far better spent time than participating in the program. Equilibrium he now finds in the family and especially in the coming into the world of his fourth child in line. With those words famous songwriter and composer of modern Greek music Teofanos George comments the opening of a new chapter in his life. Its title this time is not keeping silence and patience, but rather showing the truth about himself. So for the first time he decided to answer to the Greek press and reveal the truth about the past 3 months. About the confrontation with Sony Music in contrast to declare his marital happiness.

So in front of the media does not hide he feels extremely well personally and professionally. Even though with only few hours of sleep a day because of caring for his newborn child, he hosts his daily radio program on ANT 1. At the same time he is preparing children internet radio childradio.gr, where children can listen to stories, songs, foreign language lessons, tips and more. It is a pleasure for him to be engaged in organizing short training of children of different age in the field of fine arts, music, yoga, computer, etc. For younger students, he tries to find good teachers, and stated that he is particularly happy about everything that happens around him.

Only 3 months ago however things were for Teofanus in much darker hues. Show program for finding musical talent X-Factor, which appeared a few years ago on television screens in Greece managed to attract audiences and. .. talents. For months, interested spectators, the jury and the company Sony Music follows the progress of talanted youngsters in the program. Each member of the jury - Nikos Muratidis, Kterina Gagaki, George Teofanus and George Leventis has his favorite for whom he takes care and whose development patronizes. There never was a lack of conflicts in the show program. The nagging comments and verbal clashes which the four critics are having are not at all uncommon. So many times the show stops being on stage and is transferred on the table of the jury ... But still. Although the views of critics rarely match and their cooperation becomes almost impossible at times, through the doors of this talent show managed to come out a future star. The prize, of course, is promising. Contract with Sony Music, which puts the beginning of the musical career of the winner. No wonder that in the show do not hesitate to participate also Greeks from abroad, mostly from overseas.

The bomb however exploded at the end of January when instead of everybody’s favorite Ivi Adamu, George Teofanus chose the winner to be his favorite – the finalist Nini. Not because of her qualities, as he explained, but for the courage she has to leave her country and her child and come to Greece to participate in the show without even knowing the language. In response, Sony Music issued a formal statement that Teofanus intentionally and in strange ways managed to eliminate from the show the favorite for a winner  Ivi Adamu. The company accused him that with his actions he undermines the reliability of X-Factor worldwide.

Now Teofanus argues that the conflict is not at all between him and Ivi - she even sent flowers for the birthday of his daughter. The conflict is between him and Sony Music. “The truth will be seen in court. Everything is inextricably linked with ANT 1 and X-Factor. The problem is big” - he already commented on it freely to the media.

The name of George Teofanus today is synonymous with success. The creative artist who worked with Marinella, Nana Mushuri, George Dalaras, Haris Alexiou, Alkistis Protopsalti, Giannis Parios, Pashalis Terzis, but also with pop singers such as Antonis Remos, Sakis Rouvas, Natasha Teodoridu, Eurydice and others. His songs have repeatedly captured top of the charts in Greece. Teofanus is the author of more than 550 songs and sold more than 2 million discs. His cooperation with Haris Alexiou in “At the end of your Sky” resulted in record number of CDs sold in the Greek market over the past 10 years.
