Young women suffer most from unnemployment in Greece

A warning for a “hot summer”, filled with protests was launched by the Syndicate of Private Workers following significant cuts in the working week hours and wages. In the meantime, unemployment for young women in Greece is up to 31,8 per cent, which is double the number compared to other EU member states. According to Eurostat, Bulgaria is the only country where the unemployment among the young is going down.



Breaking out of prison... using a USB stick

A USB stick, loaded with software capable of blowing up entire buildings, was found in the yard of the Trikala prison. According to the prison director Vassilis Dafos, the device is thought to be linked to a “dirty job” execution, planned by inmates.



History does not remember good girls

According to a recent survey, ancient Greeks did in fact despise women. We shouldn’t also forget that being the wife of an Athenian citizen in the classical times wasn’t much of a benefit. Good women died in oblivion, while the only one that deserves a biographical writing, Cleopatra, will only be remembered by the preserved words of her enemies.
