Functionary of the far right party LAOS had been disaffiliated after taking part in a racist rally, Nazi salute by a Golden Dawn municipal councilor at the Athens municipal council caused violent reactions.

Just days after the new mayor George Kaminis’ assumption of office the municipal service for controlled parking announced that it has handed out 3350 slips and recorded the registration numbers of 178 illegally parked cars just in a workday. The next day results are even better: 3750 slips and 214 plates.

The scheme has been based on the opening of phantom or real companies that have declared nonexistent workforce. the Labour Inspectorate data show that 500,000 people at least are working in the black.
