After the wildfires, which destroyed 15 thousand hectares of pine forests in Attica, bloggers organized a protest in front of the Greek parliament. Symbolicaly, everybody was dressed in black.
A Sunday walk through the antique shops under the Acropolis will open your eyes and a different part of the city will reveal itself to you. In the small shops, spread around the streets "Ermou" and "Adrianou" you will find CDs and books, collectors stamps and old record players, cards and photos. The tavern on the square is a favorite place for everybody who wants to get away from the crowd.
Just for few days the Athenian streets filled with people, who were going from square to square, in order to take a look at the different performances part of the "First Street Theater Festival", which took place between October 17 and 19. All of a sudden the atmosphere of the city changed - Athens got a free bohemian character.
