Greek police has a DNA of a member from the terrorist organization “Revolutionary Fight,” which gives hope for a forthcoming hit against it. The organization became known worldwide after it attacked the US embassy in Athens with an anti-tank rocket in January of 2007. Still, the perpetrators cannot be found. Last December, the terrorists committed two more attacks – they shot at a Special Forces bus, thankfully without any victims, and they also attacked a police patrol in Exarhia and wounded severely a 21 year old policeman Diamantis Madzounis, who is still recovering in the hospital.
The police are keeping a fag found at the crime scene, where Diamantis Kadzounis was injured and fingerprints from a hand grenade from the crime scene of the attacked bus. Both genetic materials are identical and they obviously belong to a “Revolutionary Fight” member. According to information by the Sunday newspaper “Vima,” the police are concentrated investigating three Athens neighborhoods – Kipseli, Exarhia, and Zografou. A high ranking officer admits in front of the publication that the attack against Madzounis could have been avoided if the police did not hide the fact that the bus was shot at with a 9 millimeter weapon MP5, which is known to be in possession of “Revolutionary Fight.”
Meanwhile the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the investigation of the terrorist organization will be undertaken by two anti-terrorist experts, who played a significant role in the neutralizing of “November 17th.”
