The 48 year old Albanian, who was arrested because of possible connection to the attack against Konstantina Kouneva gave statements in front of the investigator today, after which he was released without restrictive measures. The Albanian was arrested and charged with premeditated murder attempt, after which he couldn’t give convincing alibi about what he did at the day of the crime and his land line print outs showed that he called Konstantina’s home. Kouneva was splashed with acid on December 23rd and since then she is in the Athenian hospital “Evangelismos” with severe external and internal burns.

In the beginning the man denied all the phone calls to Kouneva’s home but after that he “remembered,” that Konstantina and him were colleagues and used to work in the syndicate together. The police’s suspicions are based on the fact that the Albanian called the Bulgarian’s house after the attack, in order to ask how she was. Back then the police have not announced the case publicly. The Greek media claims that after the arrest, the police have talked to Konstantina Kouneva in the hospital. Unfortunately she is not in a condition, in which she can recognize the face of the suspect because still she cannot see. But according to some media she has denied to have known such a person.

The 48 year old Albanian is a family man with two children. When he was arrested he was driving a car with a fake driving license and before the police was dealing with him because of a fake marriage.
