Early in the morning in the Athenian neighborhood Dafni, an action took place, which was worthy for an adventure film. At 10:18 am drivers of a bullet proof car of an insurance firm, saw that an excavator is blocking their way on Gimnastiriou street. All of a sudden four robbers came out, who started shooting at the driver’s cabin. The car was transporting ?1 million but luckily none of the bullets broke into the cabin where the driver and one more woman were sitting.

After the unsuccessful try to break the window, the robbers user the excavator to break the windshield, push in a Kalashnikov and threaten the woman and the driver to open the doors.

The robbers took the money (about ?1 200 000). After they had the money in their hands, they jumped into a jeep, which was waiting for them nearby and left. The bullet proof car was transporting money from the Agricultural Bank to its branches.

The police had started a search in the southern suburbs of the capital, trying to find the robberd. It must be noted that about a month ago, most likely the same robbers, made an unsuccessful try to steal a package full of money in Glifada.
