There is hardly a person on earth who does not know how to flirt. We are born fully equipped for this activity - flirting. I hope it will not sound too offensive, but our ability to flirt is not the result of reason. It's an instinct we equally possess along with all other species. We do not differ in anything from a couple of swans, wolves or dogs. We just have a little more sophisticated and more "human" means unique to us.    

In today's article I will introduce this interesting, for everyone, topic - flirting. In humans some flirting signals are learnt intentionally and are executed fully consciously. But most of these signals, the most important and decisive ones, come completely unconsciously and instinctively by themselves. They are innate, genetically set in us, derived from our innate imperative for reproduction and maintenance of mankind. When a person finds himself in the company of the opposite sex – a potential partner for reproduction - a number of physiological changes come to the surface, which prepare the body for sexual expression, which is called flirting. The purpose of flirting is to make ourselves attractive and to be able to attract others.    

Nature has endowed women with a much larger palette of flirting gestures and signals, it has endowed them with much more subtlety and skill to do so. This is because for women their life partner takes priority in their lives. For them, partnership or marriage, is the most easily accessible way of realizing themselves in society as individuals. While marriage for men is not a means for realization, but rather it is required in order to have a place to receive home care, emotional comfort, relaxation, pleasure, and of course to create a new generation.    

I guess most people believe that men flirt more often than women for the simple reason that infidelity is more common to them. But actually it is quite the opposite. The woman is made in order to bring harmony, comfort, beauty, joy and pleasure in the life of a man. In order to be able to provide the above to her husband, a woman is endowed by nature with beauty, finesse and ability to flirt with her every move and glance.    

But let me return back to the question of who, how and how much is given away to flirting. Venus in the horoscope is related to the priority of human desires. It is love. It is a pleasure. It shows what attracts us, the means and methods by which we try to find and get the satisfaction of these desires. Flirting, as noted above, is our most deeply rooted way to attract attention, to satisfy our desire for intimacy, love and sex.    

The position of Venus in our horoscope is indicative of our flirting "mode" and answers the following questions. What tricks and techniques do we use to attract someone? What strategy do we undertake? Which lines make us  “bite” like a fish? How often do we need to turn this "mode" on?

When analyzing this astrological issue the sign of the ascendant is taken into consideration, because whatever we do with other people, it filters through this specific sign. I will give a description of Venus in the various signs, but if you know the sign of your ascendant, read this information too.    

The twelve signs in the zodiac are divided into the so-called elements - fire, earth, air and water. These elements set a general type and all signs belonging to the same element are similar in temperament.

The signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius represent the fire element.

The signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn - Earth element.

The signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius - air element.

The signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces - water element.    

The fire and air signs are always striving to ostentation and expression, they project a lot of vitality and are very active in flirting. They seek to develop and penetrate into the space in order to rise and affect as many people as possible. Earth and water signs are turned inwards. They do not seek to be panache and are passive in flirting. They look for the familiar, something on which they can focus.    

Based on those fundamental characteristics the people who are most easily and highly prone to flirting are people in whose horoscope Venus is in the signs Gemini and Sagittarius. They just need space to expand and are in constant movement. And this cannot happen with only one person. However, the people who have the least need to flirt are those in whose horoscope, Venus is in the signs of Taurus and Scorpio. They need a long time before starting to flirt and when they stop somewhere where they feel secure and stable, they can remain there forever.    

So far I have given you very broad and general characteristics.

Now I will describe each sign individually. I emphasize greatly that Venus in the individual horoscope has different shades - whether it rises before or after the Sun, what aspects it receives from other planets, in which part of the horoscope it is located, how it is related to the ascendant. This is why you will find a difference between people, who have Venus in the same sign.
