The capture of Bulgarian citizens in Greece on charges of immigrant trafficking is far from an isolated case. GRReporter's sources indicate that in Komotini prison alone there are 50 Bulgarians charged with, or convicted for, human trafficking.
The newspaper Kathimerini reports that the ship has been the property of a company based in Piraeus since 1 February 2015. Both the headquarters of the owning company and the company that manages the ship flying under the Bolivian flag are registered on the specific address.
