More than 50,000 immigrants have arrived in Greece in July alone according to Frontex, the European Commission announced today. This is a record because it exceeds the total number of immigrants who arrived in the country throughout 2014.
The Greek government has less and less room for manoeuvre, as the critical date of 20 August, when the ECB bonds have to be paid, is coming dangerously close
The reason is the expected reform of the pension system, which will be introduced after the adoption of the third bailout for Greece. The changes will most likely include scrapping of early retirement and raising of the retirement age
